[Note: You will, I hope, have noticed that many of the above citations exceed the normal "ten year rule" by which we often judge the current value of published resources. I should therefore perhaps point out that each article or book has been deliberately selected because of its merit in making a contribution to education in support of Primary Health Care. Many are classic documents in their fields, all are primary sources for the development of this subject. Whilst recency is important, it is not the only criterion by which material should be judged. Works that make a significant enough contribution to the literature and learning in any field will always have a timelessness and timeliness.]
